Terms of Service

By using Chatio ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Chatio. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who misrepresent their age.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Chatio to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Share illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
  • Spam, advertise, or promote commercial services without permission.
  • Impersonate other people or entities.
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Share another person's private information without their consent (doxxing).
  • Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws.

3. User Content

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Chatio does not pre-screen messages but reserves the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these Terms. By posting content, you grant Chatio a limited license to store and transmit it for the purpose of operating the Service.

4. Anonymous Users

Anonymous (Quick Chat) sessions and all associated messages are automatically deleted upon logout or after 60 minutes of inactivity. Do not rely on anonymous sessions for storing important information.

5. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any conduct we deem harmful to the Service or its users.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Chatio is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, security of data, or suitability for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chatio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or harm from interactions with other users.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Chatio after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, or in a court of competent jurisdiction.
